30 minute webinar on the past, present and future of Urban Food Production and how various systems can offer solutions to our food / climate / biodiversity crisis.

Aimed at anyone who currently works with or would like to incorporate food production in an urban environment, particularly designers, planners and educators.

Time for questions at the end.

Practical Food Growing 1 of 5

10.30am - 12.30pm

  • This is the first of 5 sessions on all aspects of food growing in an environmentally sensitive way
  • "Regular" gardening using Organic and Permaculture methods of growing
  • Learn how to grow your own food as well as earn a small income from food production

There will be opportunities to ask questions on your own project.

Taught wholly outside, this course runs in all weathers, tools and gloves provided.

This first session covers Seed sowing and saving, Annuals, Perennials, Evergreens and a Tree identification walk.

There will be one session per month for five months (excl. August), covering the majority of the main growing season, and jobs to do in Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Only 10 spaces available to ensure COVID safe as required.
